Decimal interest = (Net mineral acres / Drilling unit acres) x Royalty rate
Generally your property information will be found in a property deed or mineral deed. These documents are recorded and available at the county clerk.
Your royalty rate will be negotiated per the terms of a lease. The lease document will provide the royalty rate. This can sometimes be found at the county clerk office.
